Chrysalis announced the successful completion of
its product for warehousing of legacy data for
banks called DARB2 (Data Archival & Retrieval
for Banks, Version 2.00).
Chrysalis is a market-leader in this
business segment with more than 3,500 branches
whose legacy data has been migrated by us. The
largest customer is Punjab
National Bank. While so far the company has been
providing migration solutions at a branch level,
DARB2 offers a centralized solution delivered on
the web. DARB2 has been successfully tested with
test-data for more than 2,000 branches used for
simulated testing.
Ajay Chadha, Chrysalis' head of the
business unit feels banks are sitting on a
potential disaster as they still have legacy
data stored on magnetic media which only
deteriorates with time. What is more, most banks
have multiple vendor-systems which were used
earlier and although core banking solves issues
related to current transactions, banks are
ignoring the regulatory and legal issues in
respect of old legacy data. Chrysalis is the
company with a comprehensive solution including
the DARB2 software product, data migration
services, data warehouse population services and
project management services, to accomplish the
task of safe guarding the banks' interests in
this area.
Chrysalis completely expects to add more
customers in this important business area.
