So what is different in another company with a bunch of Java and C# (and not to mention, Ruby) engineers. You have seen one, you have seen them all, right? Well, the skepticism is not entirely misplaced. But then a pure cost-plus engagement is often, a non-starter, at least from the customer's point-of-view. If a vendor gets to bill more because a project takes longer, it definitely is not a win-win. We work to fixed-costs and if your vision (and therefore your specs!) changes then we undertake a series of small-duration fixed-cost projects. Payment is like t&m but at every milestone there is delivery.
